How set up your internet Tv on your computer
|

PC/Windows Instructions
|
|
|
1. Confirm that network cable is plugged in to wall and is connected to network card on computer.
|
 |
2. Launch Internet Explorer
|
|
|
3. Go to: http://wsdiptv
|
|
4. You will be prompted to install several plug-ins, click "yes" or "install" to all of them.
|
|
|
5. When complete, click on the different channels to view.
|
 |
6. To make the image larger, click "full" under the video window. To exit full screen mode, hit the "Esc" key on your keyboard.
|
|
7. Add this site to your bookmark list by clicking "bookmarks" at the top of your browser and then "add bookmark".

Mac/OS X Instructions

1. Confirm that network cable is plugged in to wall and is connected to network card on computer.
|
|
2. Launch Safari
|
|
3. Go to: http://wsdiptv
|
|
4. A message will come up stating that you do not have the proper plug-ins. Click "ok". Then on the right side of your screen, click on the words "click here" where it says to download the plug-in.
|
|
|
5. A file called "nutcracker-plugin_intel.dmg" will appear on your desktop. Click on it and it will prompt you to install the application.
|
|
|
6. When you get to this screen click the "Continue" button.
|
|
|
7. You will then be asked where you want the file installed. When the icon for your hard drive appears, click on it and then click the "Install" button.
|
|
|
8. When you get this message, you will need to reboot your computer to complete the process. Make sure you have saved any documents or files you have open before clicking "Restart".

9. After your computer restarts and you log back in, go to:
http://wsdiptv

10. To bookmark this page, go to "Bookmarks" at the top of the page and then click "Bookmark this page".

Q: I downloaded the software andI can get to the website but I still can't see the video...
|
A: Probably your network port is not connected. Check with your tech assistant and they can help you.
|
Q: Can we get other channels?
|
A: Not a the moment... but we are hoping to add more in the future.
|
Q: Can we record shows?
|
A: This summer we will be adding a video on demand system which will let us record shows. More to come after we install it.

Q: How do I get Closed Captioning for my hearing impared students?
|
A: It's easy! Simply click the "CC" button on the right side of screen (right under the video window) to activate it.
|
