Communication with our students, parents, staff and community is vitally important to Wissahickon School District. We believe it is essential to share with you the goals and initiatives of our school district, the successes of our students & teachers, and other important school information.
Among our enhanced communications strategies, we revamped our website to make it easier to navigate and to include more “news you can use.” It features a guide to all services, news updates from each school, upcoming events, contact information for the schools and district, lunch menus, student handbook, frequently used forms, school schedules and grades. Visitors may also submit positive news stories via the web. Also, the district believes that teaching students broadcasting professionalism is critical to their success in the field of communications. To that end, in 2009 the district adopted a "Broadcast Code of Conduct" for students involved in the television program to adhere to. To read the Broadcast Code of Conduct click here.

In addition, we have monthly video blogs from the Superintendent’s Office which are aired on WTV and posted on the website. Our principals also post monthly video blogs which include important information for students and familites. Breaking news or major announcements will be posted to the website, WTV or may be sent via our automated phone system directly to households.
