Each day the students of Stony Creek arrive at school with a zest for learning! This is something that our school community works hard to achieve, and clearly it is a team effort that includes students, parents, faculty, staff, and administration.
Our curriculum provides our students with a rich program that challenges students to become critical readers, skilled writers, strategic problem-solvers, inquisitive thinkers, and responsible citizens. In order to meet this challenge, our teachers employ best instructional practices and differentiation strategies to meet the wide range of student learning needs. In some instances, additional support services are provided in the area of special education and related services.
Additionally, our students engage in a variety of Encore Program options including art, guidance, health and physical education, library, and music. These programs provide our students with the opportunity to both extend and deepen their learning.
A wide range of learning tools are used each day at Stony Creek, with many sophisticated technologies readily available. Every classroom is equipped with SMARTBoard technology, and this tool promotes an interactive and collaborative learning environment for our students. Computer access is readily available to support classroom instruction, and students are expected to use these tools with competence.
With a strong and rigorous program and a faculty committed to excellence, Stony Creek is an exciting place to learn!
