Although Kara Aiello has Osteogenesis Imperfecta (brittle bone disease) and has been in a wheel chair for her entire life, this has never stopped her from living life to its fullest and inspiring others along the way. Ms. Aiello has studied dance for nearly 30 years and currently dances with American Dance Wheels Foundation. For the majority of her dance career, she danced with Kardon Institute of Performing Arts. Her performances took her to The Kennedy Center in 1994, The Clef Club in Philadelphia and New Orleans, and talent shows on two Carnival Cruises.

In addition to performing dance, Ms. Aiello sings with the Academy Chorale and is a writer for MobileWomen.org and other organizations including United Spinal Association and Amnesty International and Montgomery County Community College. Ms. Aiello has a master’s degree in social work and a certification in therapeutic recreation and works as a Recreation Therapist at Meadowood Senior Community in Worcester.
