Celebrating Black History Month 

Wiss Nation honors and recognizes the significant cultural, social, economic and political achievements, and contributions of Black Americans to American life. This month provides an opportunity to focus lessons and activities on the essential role Black American have played, and continue to play, in America's making and progress. 

Among the school activities, students in the WHS CASA club (Celebrating All Students' Achievement) hosting a Black History Month celebration which will include a panel of influential Black community members and food, games, and dancing. Also, CASA and the Mass Media classes wrote and produced video segments that will air on the student's morning show each day of February highlighting notable Black Americans and events in the civil rights movement.
