District News
Wissahickon School District's Board Racial Equity Oversight Committee members are hosting a Community Listening Session at 7:00PM on Monday, November 18, at the Ambler Borough Hall. Please join us in our collective efforts to ensure that the District’s vision of continuing to address the needs of our students through the identified key topics or Focus Areas of Priority are met. These areas are the following: Belongingness; District Responses to Racial Disparities in Discipline; Equitable Representation in Advanced Placement Courses in High School; Equitable Representation in the District’s Gifted Program; Special Education Identification, and Teacher/Staff Diversity.
The voice of everyone in our community is valued. The District's Board Racial Equity Oversight Committee’s Community Listening Session will be an opportunity to explore the district’s Focus Areas of Priority in order to receive input and feedback from the community to inform next steps.
If you are interested in participating, please complete the registration form linked here, and identify which of the Focus Areas of Priority we should discuss at the November 18 Community Listening Session.
