Share the Love of Reading!
Wissahickon School District's 0-5 Committee focuses on encouraging parents to read and share stories with their children from birth to age 5 as a means of building language skills, a strong predictor of a child's future school success. The Community Outreach Committee is looking for new or gently-used children's books, especially board books that toddlers love to get their little hands on! Look through your bookshelves and consider sharing the gift of reading with families throughout the Wissahickon School District. Look for the collection bins with our logo located in the lobby of each district elementary schools.
