WSD Students Traveling Domestically and/or Internationally: Quarantine Requirements

IMPORTANT

WSD Families Traveling Domestically and/or Internationally
Quarantine Requirements

As we anticipate the return of many of our middle and high school students on November 9 to the school buildings as per our hybrid plan, we want to remind all families of the district’s quarantine requirements.

PLEASE NOTE: The travel-related quarantine requirements only apply to our students. If a parent has traveled, and is doing a quarantine, the student does not have to quarantine unless they have symptoms, or a household member is actually positive.

Has your student traveled within the United States?

If yes, please refer to the PA Department of Health Travel Advisory list. If your student has traveled to and from one of the states listed, they must quarantine for 14-days before returning to school. This means your student would need to begin a quarantine period no later than October 26th in order to attend classes on November 9th.

Has your student traveled internationally?

If yes, your student must quarantine for 14-days before returning to school. This means your student would need to begin a quarantine period no later than October 26th in order to attend classes on November 9th.

Is your family considering travel during this school year?

Domestic Travel: We remind all parent/guardians planning such travel that your student will need to quarantine for 14 days before returning to school if they have traveled to a destination(s) included on the PA Department of Health Travel Advisory list.

International Travel: If your student travels internationally, they are required to quarantine for 14 days before returning to school.

The PA Department of Health Travel Advisory list is updated on a daily basis, so please revisit the link if your student has returned from travel or will be traveling.  This is a critical piece of the overall strategy for keeping COVID-19 as contained as possible.  THANK YOU.
